O-YA's COVID-19 Policy as it relates to Winter Camp
If participants have the following COVID-19 symptoms before they come to Camp each day, we ask that they don't come to Camp. And, if they develop the symptoms during Camp, O-YA staff will call parents / guardians for immediate pick up.
If participants have symptoms 1 - 4, Ottawa Public Health recommends that they get a COVID test. Participants with symptoms 1 - 4 will not be permitted at O-YA until their COVID test is negative.
If participants have symptoms 5 - 9, they will not be permitted at O-YA until 24 hours after symptoms have resolved without fever reducing medication, regardless of whether they test negative for COVID-19.
We understand that this might be challenging to manage if your kids are sick. However, we have a duty to protect both other participants and O-YA staff during a time of COVID case surges in Ottawa. If any of these policies mean you are no longer able to keep your kids registered for Camp, we understand. If you need to cancel your registration(s), you may do so before Sunday, December 19 at midnight and receive a full refund.
Please note that, if Ottawa Public Health guidelines for running O-YA's Camp programs change at any time before or during Camp operations, O-YA will follow that guidance - which may supersede information contained here.
