Osgoode Youth Association (O-YA)

Have you seen O-YA lately?  If you haven't I think you should give it a try.  This summer has been a blast!  The youth workers are sensational, and we have had the best summer I can remember in a very long time.  BBQ's on the patio with good tunes, guitar lessons with the amazing Matt and Grant and Zach, Camp Friday's for the young'uns, dinner and a movie on Friday chill nights, firefighters teaching fitness...the list goes on and on.

We have had 2 excellent field trips this summer...one to Calypso and one to Camp Fortune Aerial Park.  The buses picked everybody up at 9:00am and hit the road.  We teamed up with some of the Merrickville crew and it was an awesome time!  Calypso was insane...with rides to scare your pants off (well...bathing suit bottoms)   Everyone came back pumped...we will definitely go back next year!  Camp Fortune was a day of challenge.  Climbing tall ladders and trees, and jumping...ya...insane, right?  It was a challenge for some who were really scared of heights....but the cool thing is they all encouraged each other, and everyone was amazed at what they can do if they overcome the challenge...way to go you guys!

Our next trip is La Ronde...on August 11th.  We have to have at least `5 people to do this trip...more would be even better.  Come on..take the bus to Montreal with some friends and have a blast...it will be worth it!
