Made with Love; O-YA Mason Jar Fundraiser
O-YA, in partnership with NROCRC and United Way, has a new youth mental health counsellor! Her name is Tara Taylor, and you can learn all about Tara and her services HERE.
One of the things we heard from rural Ottawa youth is they would feel most supported with their mental health by having a youth counsellor available in-person in a private, comfortable and welcoming space.
We have created this perfect space at O-YA! COVID is preventing the 'in person' part of this equation at the moment, but we are confident it won't be long before Tara can take appointments at O-YA (appointments are currently virtual).
To help cover the cost of transforming O-YA's boardroom into a counselling room, O-YA is hosting a virtual fundraiser. Our goal is to raise $3,000 by seeking 100 x $30 donations.
The joy of knowing your donation helped to cover the cost of O-YA's youth mental health counselling room is a great reward! But, we want to make your donation even more special. Youth in the Osgoode Ward community have been busy over the last few weeks custom painting unique and beautiful designs onto mason jars (examples pictured above). With every $30 donation, O-YA will deliver (within Osgoode Ward) one of these special pieces of functional art right to your doorstep.
