Camp Fridays at O-YA!
Boys & Girls age 7 - 12. Cost: $25 per Friday (optional After Care Program $10 per day).
8:30 am - 4:30 pm (or until 5:30 in our After Care Program)
Please bring 2 snacks and a lunch each Friday.
Join us for as many Fridays as you like!
July 9: Medieval Knights & Princesses. O-YA Youth Workers are taking Camp Friday youth to join the Kingdom of Osgoode Village's Medieval Festival's Education Day activities. There will be demonstrations of Swordfighting, Chivalry, Music and Dance. Blacksmithing and Archery. Your child will be able to practice with the Stilts, miniature Trebachets, a Giant Chess Game, Horseshoes, Beoce, Boffers and other period games. They will also be able to try on armour and hats. After our Medieval Festival experience, we will be walking to the Osgoode Vet Clinic for a tour and interactive demonstration with Dr. Sparling.
July 16: Bike Fanatic. Bring your bike and helmet today! We're learning about the importance of maintaining good care of your bicycles. We'll show you how to take off the front wheels of a bike with a ratchet and allow kids to thouroughly clean their bikes. Then, we'll embarke on a Bike Ride through a trail in the Village and have a picnic lunch outside on the trail. CANCELLED
July 23: Wilderness and Adventure Day We're hiking to a cool picnic spot where we'll have lunch and play: Giants, Wizards & Elves and Kick The Can. On the hike we'll be working on a nature Treasure Hunt. Back at O-YA we're tie-dying t-shirts to take home!
July 30: Wet and Wild with the Rural Firefighters - Plus cookie baking, football, mudfights and more! (New Camp)
August 6: Camp Day
August 13:The O-YA Olympics! - Games from different nations, ribbons, and many surprises. (New Camp!)
August 27: Crazy Science & LEGO
